The Art of Randal Spangler

There once was a young boy whose sense of adventure and intrigue led him on exciting explorations in a little town near Kirksville, Missouri. From adventures in his family's attic to discoveries in the old barn, these explorations began to shape his character and imagination. It was the 1950s, and the innocence of youth was alive and well in this little boy as he made his way with wide eyes and an open heart. The smell and tastes of apple pie, fresh dinner rolls, succulent meats and delicious chocolate cookies fondly embraced him during those Sunday dinners on the farm. There was an unspoken satisfaction among his family for their hard work of growing and harvesting fresh fruits and vegetables from the orchard and garden.

That little boy still remembers those special moments in that small town.

His name is Randal Spangler, the talented artist and creator of a variety of whimsical characters such as the Draglings, Dagmar and Dewey. His childhood memories helped shape, and give life to characters that were a primary source of inspiration for the "Land of Ohm."
