I just finished stitching this little guy. He took me a year and a half. He is harder than he looks. The hat had about 62 colours in it for the side pieces that hang down. The background is surprisingly easy, just having 3 colours. I opted to stitch the background and I love the finished piece. It just seems to blend nicer.
In any case, he was a delight to stitch!
