The Art of Lierre Foest “Work: My main media are watercolor / aquarell, ink (pen & wash), and pencil (graphite or coloured). I have also worked with acrylic, oil, and oil pastels. I often mix media. The themes or topics of my images are partially things that I like, such as people and imaginary landscapes, and partially things other people like such as cats, turtles, fairies and mermaids. The styles I create in vary among Naïve / faux naïve, Expressionist, abstract, Impressionist, Cubist, and outright outsider, and often have a tendency toward a whimsical overtone. I have a particular interest in artistic Anthropomorphism.
